The New Day
The sun rises to began the day
and sends the night on its way.
The rays come forth so bright
just like a heavenly light.
This is a start of a new day
which brings us into May.
The air is full of warmth
which fills us with mirth.
This is a start of a new day.
On the crisp grass we lay
and breathe in the fresh air.
Days like this are too rare.
This is the start of a new day.
A boat in the ocean sways
to and fro with the breeze
as it casts its way to sea.
This is the start of a new day.
Where does time start to stray?
The time rushes by too fast.
How can this forever last?
On the start of a new day.
It will start on Jehovah's day.
and sends the night on its way.
The rays come forth so bright
just like a heavenly light.
This is a start of a new day
which brings us into May.
The air is full of warmth
which fills us with mirth.
This is a start of a new day.
On the crisp grass we lay

Days like this are too rare.

Isn't today the Last day of October...Bringing us into the First day of November? I'll just remind myself to read this again in 7 months. Until then....
Just stay out of my way or you'll pay, listen to what I say.....
Hey, why don't I just go and eat some hay. I can lay by the bay, make things out of clay, I just may, what'd ya say?
Hahah J/P Peace out and keep that lyrical mind flowing.

Nice Jimmy, good lyrics. Yes, I did realize the fact of October / November switch, but I actually wrote that poem back on the April / May switch, I just dug it out and posted it for all to see.

Thanks for the clarification. I can now go to bed tonight. And BTW, those lines were from Happy Gilmore. Good times. Good times.
